    Retail Express is pleased to announce the extension of its Category Management / Merchandise Management solution with the provision of SALES, PROFIT & VOLUME Analytics with a series of new facilities that provides on demand ABC Analysis for Sales, Profit, Unit Volumes and Margin with YEAR TO YEAR RANKINGS by FORMAL ABC Structures or customized on demand User definitions at run time. These analyses provide invaluable insight into the behaviour of products at different levels of the merchandising hierarchy; provide guidance on creating Pricing Classifications, insights into the health of the Retailer’s Pricing Architecture and the provide a counter balance and contrast to the Category based margin goals; provide help and guidance on the sustainability of the assortment and the WINNERS & LOSSER’s in the new product introduction cycle and the relative performance of each item year on year.

    The solution provides ranking, sorting, filtering, column selection and sequencing of all key data metrics, exports to Excel and uses the Vertica analytics platform and Column Database integrated with the real-time RDBMS tables. The functionality is being made available in the Retail Express RE 2.0 Release 4.4.1 and can be licensed with the Category and Merchandise Management modules BUT can also be licensed with the Pricing and Promotion Management solution without the other Category Management functionality.

    The solution can be provided in a hosted, Cloud or On-premises implementation and is available today.
