In March 2008 Retail Express set out to The Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida for the IRI CPG and Retail Summit.

The Summit is an annual convention of senior leaders from the global CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), Retail and Healthcare marketplace making it a world class conference for an array of Retailers, Manufacturers, Sales Management and Technology companies.

This year, 3 days of powerful seminars given by industry leaders such as Wal Mart and ConAgra Foods ran with the premise to address and overcome the key challenges facing today’s complex industry.

Running concurrently with these seminars, the Summit Showcase gave host to Retail and Manufacturing solutions and innovative new products, including Retail Express’s AMP2.

The showcase was a tremendous success for Retail Express giving us the opportunity to give live system demonstrations to an extensive range of both Retailers and Manufacturers. We were particularly pleased with the interest shown in the pricing and promotional capabilities of AMP2, with a large number of private meetings being held with leading US Supermarkets. The meetings offered retailers the opportunity to gain a more comprehensive insight into the AMP2 suite, and gave us the audience to show off our best of breed mathematics, pricing, promotions and media capabilities.

In addition to this Retail Express also delivered a first rate Breakout session conducted by Don Gamble (IT Development & Architecture Director, Overwaitea FOODS inc.,) and Barry Grange (Chief Executive Officer, Retail Express) which discussed the successful implementation of AMP2 into the Overwaitea Superstores.

Established in 1915 Overwaitea is a food store market leader in British Columbia, Canada. Working together with Retail Express over the last several years, the degree in which AMP2 has improved the Organisations working practice and functionality in regards to Pricing and Promotions is paramount.

The Breakout gave both parties the opportunity to share the success of AMP2 at Overwaitea Foods Inc; discuss the historical business problem and reviewed the software solutions offered by Retail Express to overcome those problems; review the new businesses processes and the benefits achieved and how Overwaitea includes Retail Express as a business partner to enhance the Overwaitea business.

Overall, the 2008 Summit was a huge success for Retail Express, we are also please to announce the launch of AMP2 release 3.4, the second major release upgrade to take advantage of new leading functionality.
