Customer Centric

Category Management and Customer Centric tend to be presented as alternatives, they are NOT, both go hand in hand. In the real world they represent different, but important views of what is taking place, both views are segments.

If the Retailer is managing by Customer Segment tracking performance at that level will be very important and the system provides Dashboards with up to date sales, unit and profit information by segment shown against budgets and same periods last year and year to date figures.

Retail Express provides for the projection of future weeks through an On Demand Segment P & L, an accurate prediction of sales, units, profit and margin for each future week, by item and summarised out over the planning horizon, taking into account the impact of price changes, promotions, ads, promo displays etc., including the impact of those factors on related products in terms of cross effects causing cannibalization and halo effects; as well as taking account of the pantry loading effect following promotion of an item.

The Segment P&L's show line item forecasts and promotion lift by offer within each line item. T he user also has access through the right click or the main navigation bar to Segment Strategy and Tactics, a template description and a place for the attachment of additional documents concerning the customer segment.

The template provides a means of organising and recording decisions, actions, feedback and comments in a single place consistent with the day to day activities of the Customer Segment or Category manager and supporting team

 

Assortment

Provides the functionality to organise, structure and view assortments by item by Store either directly or through an API to the retailer own database.
